22nd Annual Twin County Regional Health Care Autumn Days 5K Run

5K Race begins at 10:00 am ~ 1 mile race for kids 12 & under begins at 9:00 am
Pre-race registration held until October 11. Race day registration time is 8:00 – 9:45 am.
Entry Fee: $12.00 if postmarked by October 11
$17.00 thereafter and on race day
Cash awards for overall winners & Master Division overall winners.

Youth Free Throw Shooting Contest

Open to boys and girls ages 8 – 13
Registration: Register at the competition
Entry Fee: Free to all participants
Awards will be given to the top 2 competitors in all age groups.
Winter Snow Tubing Trip
To: Winterplace Ski Resort, West Virginia
Date: Saturday, February 11, 2012
Time: Trip will leave from Galax Recreation Center at 7:00 am and return at approximately 3:30 pm.
Who: Open to anyone age 11 – 14
Registration: January 2 – February 3, 2012
Trip will be limited to the first ten (10) participants to sign up and pay.
Cost: $35.00 per person and includes tube rental, lift and transportation.

Boating Safety & Education Certification Course
Course Date: Saturday, February 18, 2012 (8:00 am – 5:00 pm)
Information: Course is required by the new Virginia Boating Education Law and the Virginia Game and Inland
Fisheries to operate any boat or personal watercraft in the state of Virginia beginning July 2009
Registration: November 7, 2011 – February 13, 2012
Must attend entire session and pass exam to satisfy the new Virginia Boating Education Law.
Where: Galax Recreation Center
Cost: $5.00 non-refundable fee to cover class expense
Course will be limited to the first fifty [50] people who sign up and pay.
