PAINTING WITH ACRYLICS
A Beginners Class
Learn to paint with acrylics, even if you are a beginning artist. Instruction will be given on proper use of materials, mixing, and background painting up to detail. 2ND ANNUAL JAM PROGRAM
Youth Junior Appalachian Musician’s Program
The Blue Ridge Music Center and the Galax Parks & Recreation Department are again working together to offer the 2nd Annual Junior Appalachian Musician’s Program. This program is to teach the musical traditions of the mountains of southwest Virginia to young people who live here so they can carry on the tradition. The core instruments in the Jam Program will be the banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, dulcimer, bass and others.

PROGRAMS
After School Activity Program (ASAP) This program offers quality, supervised after school programs at the Galax Recreation Center for boys and girls who attend Galax City Schools in grades 1 through 6. This program is held Monday through Friday, except when Galax City Schools are closed for teacher workdays, holidays, inclement weather or other scheduled closings. Program Site: Galax Recreation Center Time: 3:00 - 6:00 pm Day: Monday - Friday Cost: $35.00 per week (reduced rates for more than one child in the same household) *Notice - When Galax City Schools let out before noon because of inclement weather, etc., the After School Program will not operate. When schools let out at noon or later, the After School Program will pick up your child |
