Rip group meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:15 – 7:15 pm
Tide group meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 7:15 – 8:15 pm
Children under the age of 10 must be able to swim at least 25 meters to be on the Galax Riptide Swim Team. Children from ages 11 – 18 must be able to swim at least 50 meters to be on the Galax Riptide Swim Team. If you are unsure about your child’s swimming ability, you may bring them by the Galax Indoor/Outdoor Pool for a Swim Test. The Rip group is the 10 and under group and the Tide group is the 11 and over group. There is usually a 10-meet season with a championship meet at the end of the season.

The Galax Riptide also offers a USA Swimming Team under the same banner. Coach Trace USA Swimming certified swim coach. Meets are made available to USA swimmers who are willing to travel in Virginia. Call Coach Trace for more information and USA Swimming fee structure at 276-236-3218.
